Braxton County welcomes us to come and join the pre-ride convoy activities. This is located across the road from the Flatwoods Outlet Mall (you will see the trucks and SOWV Flags). This is a SO national, annual fundraiser that all county programs can organize in their areas. This invitation is an opportunity to see the set up and just how much fun this event can be.
Truck Convoy: 9:00am – 11:00 am, Braxton County welcomes us to come and join the pre-ride convoy activities. This is located across the road from the Flatwoods Outlet Mall (you will see the trucks and SOWV Flags). This is a SO national, annual fundraiser that all county programs can organize in their areas. This invitation is an opportunity to see the set up and just how much fun this event can be. Cheer on the Trucks as they leave at 11:00 for the Convoy!
Registration: Will be in the Lobby 11:00 am– 12:00 noon - All county volunteers attending should be pre-registered as a group (through SOWV).
- If you have questions regarding registration forms or confirmation, call Linda. All room reservations are made by SOWV. This event is for all county volunteers, in particular.
- Management Team members and those who are involved wanting a better understanding how SOWV works, and the requirements for programs. We encourage all those interested and committed to participate. The more people who understand the responsibilities of having a quality program, the more you can support one another.
- If your County would like to share and sale items, let me know prior to the event. We will have tables set up Saturday during Dinner and the Social. Your county program will be responsible for keeping track of your goods and sales.
- SO Materials will be available, such as brochures. If you have a request for any other items/materials such as logo disk, let me know.
- Sessions: We have taken your evaluations from last year and included your request and suggestions to make up an agenda of subjects to focus on for the training sessions. If your county has had an experience that you would like to share by presenting on the County Fundraising Panel contact me ASAP. We will also have a staff panel to go over new policies and review materials. Have your questions and issues ready.
- We must recognize and remind you that the sessions/activities are for training and are not designed to keep the attention of children. So, please if you must bring your young children with you, arrange care for them during these times as it is distracting to the participants and not fun for the kids having to set quietly through these sessions. Thank you for understanding this sensitive issue.
- SOI guest presenters will cover sessions on Saturday. This is an exciting newly developed training, covering many areas of programming - so it does benefit you by participating at the Leadership Conference.Take advantage of this opportunity, otherwise your program will need to arrange to have the training by SOWV staff at another time.
