Basketball

Basketball is one of the most popular SOWV sports!

Competition is offered in:

  • Individual Skills
  • 5-on-5 Traditional Team
  • 5-on-5 Unified Team

Individual skills competition allows Special Olympics athletes to develop sports skills in a competitive format designed as a stepping-stone for athletes to team competition.

5-on-5 basketball team competition is played on a regulation basketball court, with some modifications.

The 2024 SOWV Basketball & Cheerleading Tournament returns to Morgantown March 16-17!
