Flag Football is a growing sport at Special Olympics WV.
SOWV offers 3 levels of events in Flag Football:
Level 1: Individual Skills Competition
This competition allows Special Olympics athletes to develop sports skills in a competitive format designed to serve as a stepping stone towards team play.
Level 2: Traditional Team Play Competition
This is the highest individual level of flag football offered by Special Olympics, and is for athletes with a good understanding of the game and sport knowledge.
Level 3: Unified Team Play
This competition allows Special Olympics athletes with a strong concept of flag football rules and etiquette to play with a Unified Partner of similar ability on a team.
**Please note – all athletes & Unified Partners are to be assessed prior to registration, and those assessment scores must be turned into the county director for registration purposes.
